During the past storms during the weekend of June 29th, much of Earlysville, as well as the rest of the region, experienced power outages and the high temperatures. This is a reminder that the Earlysville Volunteer Fire Company serves as an emergency cooling center during such extreme weather patterns.
We were fortunate to be assisted by members of the community to staff the cooling center, as well as handing out bottled water to residents. During such emergencies feel free to call the station at 434-973-8862 to find out what services and at what times we are providing them. If nobody answers during that time it means we are out helping our community in some way - please be persistent and patient! If there are any ideas on how we can better help our community please feel free to call us and share your ideas.
