| Old Engine 41 Says Goodbye |
Fri. Sep 3rd 2010
On September 3rd, 2010, Earlysville Volunteer Fire Company's Engine 41 said goodbye. The Earlysville Volunteer Fire Company placed Engine 41 in service in 1993. She has served the Earlysville community very well over the past 17 years. During her service, Engine 41 has responded to thousands of calls in Albemarle County. If you ask any of our members, most can tell you a story about this truck. We are very proud of this truck. Engine 41 was known throughout Albemarle County as the strongest pumping truck that was in service through out these past 17 years. In fact, we were spoiled by her, because we never had to work very hard to pull a draft with the pump. Although we are sad to see her go, we are glad that she will be used and taken care of by a newly formed Fire Department in Wisconsin.
