| E Crew runs multi-injury accident |
Sat. Jul 10th 2010
Just after midnight on July 10, E Crew was dispatched to its typical Friday night MVC as has become a tradition ever since crews were realigned. ECC advised that there were possibly 5 injured with one subject in and out of consciousness. Crews arrived to find a single vehicle off the road down an embankment in the 300 block of Simmons Gap Rd. Greene County units were already on scene and had 3 patients laying in a nearby driveway. Chief 43 discovered 2 additional patients still in the vehicle and Engine 41's medic and EMTs went to work rapidly extricating the two unresponsive subjects in the back seat. Both patients were transferred to ALS care, while the two Greene County Rescue units on scene handled the three original patients. Units turned the scene over to ACPD.
Units on scene: EVFC E-41, Chief 41, Chief 42, ACFR E-121, M-121, BC-10, CARS T-147, Dyke (Greene County) E-31, Stanardsville (Greene County) S-12, Greene County Rescue A-401, A-405
