Engine 41 was delivered from Pierce in November of 2009. Due to heavy snow fall and adverse weather conditions, Engine 41 was delayed going in service until April 2010. Engine 41 replace our older aging HME/Mack engine allowing us to step into the 21st century by utilizing the latest in firefighting technology. Engine 41 is capable of handling a myriad of calls from simple EMS to a structure fire.

HazMat 47 is a Pierce Encore on a Kenworth chassis with a walk-in command area. This unit will be equipped to handle HazMat incidents such as hazardous materials spills and decontamination situations, as well as respond to structure fires and perform other support functions. The truck is equipped with the latest in lighting technology, a fully functional weather tower to get up to the minute weather information, and a Global Positioning System for precise location information. The truck also has the latest in cascade technology, allowing firefighters to refill their self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) on the scene, and we now have the capability to not only refill the county’s low pressure SCBA bottles, but also the city’s high pressure SCBA bottles as well. Other features of this truck include a 500lbs Sta-Dri hopper to allow for containment and cleanup of large spills, storage areas for rehab chairs for firefighter rehab, and dual awnings on both sides of the truck allowing for easy shade when needed.
